Grammas

Royal Gramma Basslet

General
These are hardy, beginner fish found in the Caribbean that are similar to the Pacific Pseudochromis’s without being quite as aggressive.

Feeding/Diet
Basslets usually accept most foods. A high quality, dry, prepared food would be a good standard offering, supplemented by some frozen foods. Frozen mysis shrimp, plankton, and bloodworms are all good choices that should be offered once per week.

Compatibility
Basslets are territorial, so it is usually best to avoid having more than one per species unless you have a large tank (6 foot long). If you want to try more than one of a given species, introduce them all at the same time. Angelfish, clownfish, damsels, , tangs and small wrasses are all good choices of tank mates.

Habitat
These fish require a great deal of rockwork to feel secure.
