General: A slow moving and peaceful community fish. Like most tetras it does best in groups. Keep it with other peaceful fish. It is also called the X-Ray Tetra. There are regular pristella tetras (above right- with black tips on fins) and the gold variety (below right).
Feeding: Feed at least twice a day. They will accept a variety of foods. Feed flakes, along with brine shrimp, bloodworms or frozen foods. A tetra will show its best color after you have owned it for a few months and have given it a high quality diet.
