Iridescent Shark Catfish

General: This fish is hardy and quick moving, but they grow quickly and can out-grow many tanks. They are best kept in tanks of 70 gallon or more. They are compatible with other active fish of similar size, such as gouramis, barbs, silver dollars, catfish, and mild-mannered cichlids. Feeds from middle water layers; quick grower; and do best in groups. This fish is not actually a shark. It is a member of the catfish family (Schibeidae) from Asia. They can grow to about 36" in the wild, but most aquarium specimens grow no longer than 18".
Feeding: They feed from the middle water layers. Feed standard foods such as flake food, brine shrimp, shrimp pellets, freeze-dried plankton, Tetra Color Bits. Feed 2-3times a day.
