General: A quick growing fish that is compatible with fish of similar size. These fish resemble piranhas in body shape, and are closely related to piranhas. However they do not have sharp teeth or a vicious nature like a piranha.
Caution: These fish can outgrow most tanks, and
will require a tank of 200 gallon or more as adults.
Compatibility: Peaceful, even toward
smaller fish. Best kept in a large tank with other large fish. Mixes well with
oscars, large sharks and medium sized cichlids. Small specimens can be kept
with gouramis, sharks and barbs (Community
#7, Community #8, Community
#9).
Feeding: Feed standard foods once a
day. Large specimens will eat Cichlid sticks, pellets, worms, freeze-dried
plankton.
