Bubble-Eye |
has fluid filled sac around eye; should be kept only with other fancy goldfish. Do not mix with large comet goldfish. Keep water depth less than 15". |

Celestial |
has upward pointed eyes. Do not mix with large comet goldfish. |

Comet |
also called the common goldfish. can be kept in aquariums or outdoor ponds. grows quickly. |

Fantail |
the most common type of fancy goldfish. has 3 pointed tail; suitable for small fishbowls; |

Lionhead |
has no dorsal fin, short squat body. Some lionheads are also lionhead orandas. |

Oranda |
has distinctive head growth. Goldfish with the greatest head growth are the most valuable, and show specimens sell for $40.00 or more. White spots on head indicate new growth. For best head growth feed a variety of quality foods including some live foods. Orandas can be purchased as small specimens at reduced prices, but not all of them will develop the amount of head growth as the show specimens. Thrives at water depths of less than 15". |
