General:  An interesting bottom dweller that likes to hide during the day.  They will bury into the gravel with just their head sticking out.  They can be kept with fish of similar size.  Provide hiding spots and keep the tank well covered.  They are more active at night.

Diet:  Frozen bloodworms,  freeze-dried worms, small pellets, flakes.  Adults will eat ghost shrimp.

Compatibility:  Fish that go well with spiny eels:  Community #4, Community #5, Community #7
