General: This Cichlid has many desirable traits. It is mild mannered, colorful and long-lived. It fits into many cichlid community tanks, as well as non-cichlid tanks. You can mix them with similar sized gouramis, sharks, silver dollars, barbs and loaches. Well-fed adults are a true "show fish".
Color Varieties: Striped Severum, Gold Severum
Diet: Like most Cichlids they will accept a variety of foods such as Cichlid pellets, Cichlid flakes, frozen foods, krill. To bring out the best color feed Hikari Cichlid Gold. Feed young fish 2-3 times daily. Adults can be fed 1-2 times a day.
