Managuense Cichlid
General: This pretty fish can be one of the more aggressive cichlids. Juveniles can be kept in groups, but adults should be kept as singles. Adults are very territorial and will defend against any newcomer- especially fish that are have a similar body shape such as Jack Dempseys, and Red Devils. They can grow quickly. Under optimal conditions they are very colorful. Diet: Like most cichlids they will accept a variety of foods such as cichlid pellets, cichlid flakes, frozen foods, krill. Feed young fish 2-3 times daily. Adults can be fed 1-2 times a day. Compatibility: Fish that go well with Managuense cichlids: Community #8, Community #9 |
