Butterkoferi Cichlid

General: A very colorful African cichlid. They can be a true "show fish" once they grow. One of the most aggressive cichlids. Sometimes spelled butterkoferi.
Diet: Like most cichlids they will accept a variety of foods such as cichlid pellets, cichlid flakes, frozen foods, krill. Feed young fish 2-3 times daily. Adults can be fed 1-2 times a day.
Compatibility: The tank should be set-up to house them by themselves, or it should be kept in a large tank with other big fish. Alligator gars, pacus and plecostomus are some tank-mates. Other fish that might go with buttikoferi cichlids: Community #9
