General: A beautiful catfish that can grow very large.    You will need at least a 200 gallon tank.  We do not stock these fish.

Medication Note-This fish is sensitive to medications (Ich and fungus medications.) Remove them to another tank before you medicate.

Diet:  Will eat feeder goldfish and pellet food.

Availability:  Due to concerns about these fish out-growing their tank, Elmer's no longer stocks these fish.

Compatibility:  This fish must be kept with other fish of similar size.  We have seen many people keep them with large Oscars, Pacus,  Gars.  Here is a link to a list of some other large fish::   Community Tank #9
