Columbian Shark Catfish

General:  An active bottom dwelling fish. They grow quickly and can outgrow small tanks. They are compatible with other active fish of similar size. When young they do well in freshwater, but as they get older they require brackish water. They grow quickly and should be provided a large tank. A pretty fish, they are silver with white belly. The pectoral, pelvic and anal fins are black with white edges. They can be kept as singles or groups.

Size: grows to 12-24"

Housing:  Provide them plenty of swimming room. Best kept in tanks of 75 gallons or more. Temperature range 72-80. Provide about 1 tablespoon of marine salt per gallon. Best conditions would be a large brackish water tank with Scats and Monos.

Feeding:  Feed twice a day with standard foods, such as flakes or pellets.
