General: A very colorful fish that can be a nice addition to a cichlid community tank.  They are slow moving and often swim in a head down position. They enjoy picking at gravel.

Longevity:  3-5 years.

Compatibility: This fish is belligerent, and should be kept with active fish of similar size. Do not mix them with swordtails, angels, etc. Often mixes well in cichlid community tanks because it can defend itself very well against aggressive fish., They also mix in cichlid tanks because their behavior is very different than most cichlids, and they pose little threat to the dominant cichlids.  (Community #8, Community #9)

Feeding: Feed standard foods twice a day. Try offering frozen brine or bloodworms. Omnivorous and need some greens.
